BEING A FOSTER HOME TO SOME OF THE PARROTS IN OUR CARE

Some of the birds that are relinquished to Montana's Parrot & Exotic Bird Sanctuary will be placed in a foster care home until they can be adopted into permanent homes. The use of foster homes allows us to work with those birds that may have some minor behavioral or health related problems, and to help the bird(s) adjust to their new situation. In addition, most of the birds that are relinquished come from home environments where they at least had some interaction with people. We believe a foster care home will make the transition to a permanent home much easier. It takes a very special person to become a foster care parent.
