This is Samson the Umbrella Cockatoo.
He was surrendered to the sanctuary after delivering a nasty
bite to his owner. He now has a new home with a family that loves him dearly.

Samson is doing wonderful in his new home.
He continues to get tons of attention and has not shown any signs of aggression.

This is Billy the Quaker Parrot. He's lovely! He is the center of a loving family!

He has quite the story on how he came to us.

He is a stinker that has learned to snuggle up tight to his new
moms face so nobody else can get close to her.

Fiona the tame dove has finally found a new home where she gets tons of love!

He has been adopted by a lovely family!

This is Lois & Clark. They were rescued from a nasty
pet store by a wonderful person. Since then,
they have both found new homes and are doing wonderful!

This is Pee Wee. He came from Missoula.
He has been adopted and will be living in birdie paradise!
His new owner is building a new house that includes a special aviary
for Pee Wee and all his new bird buddies.
Their new home will include full spectrum lighting, water mists,
water falls and special habitat related features that will make
sure these little guys are as happy as can possibly be.

Baby is an umbrella cockatoo that is approximately 9 years old.
His previous owners felt he would be much happier with
people that understood his needs and personality.
He has been adopted and now has a wonderful home!

Baby is doing wonderful in his new home.
He gets lots of love and is finally feeling like part of a family!

This is Big Red the Green Wing Macaw. He's beautiful and very large.
He came to live in the sanctuary permanently.
He will get lots of attention and enjoy his days living with his bird buddies.

Status: Permanent Surrender
This is Quincy. She is an African Grey Congo. She is a chronic
feather clipper and has clipped her feathers for about 15 years.
Quincy has a fantastic vocabulary and often says, "I'm a spooky bird".
She is the only bird I know that burps and then says excuse me.
She also sings, counts to eight and carries on telephone conversations
for hours on end. She can immitates beeps and other noises as well!
She is amazing and is a permanent surrender of the sanctuary!

Status: Permanent SurrenderEmma is a 7 year old African Grey Congo.
She also clips her feathers like Quincy. Emma was surrendered to
the sanctuary because her owners traveled due to their jobs
which made it difficult to offer Emma the attention that she needed.
She now remains a permanent surrender of the sanctuary like Quincy.


Status: Permanent Surrender
This is Bubba and Petey. Bubba is an Umbrella Cockatoo and Petey
a Goffin Cockatoo. They were permanent surrenders to the Sanctuary,
when their owner fell ill and could no longer care for them.
Bubba and Petey are very loving and gentle in nature.
However, they weren't always like this. Lots of handling and earning
their trust has made them the perfect lover birds.
They have already visited schools and will continue to teach people
young and old how to care for these magnificent creatures.

Harley is a Blue and Gold Macaw. He is another permanent
surrender to the sanctuary. His owner felt he would be much
happier around other birds and people that understood his behavior.
Harley has a slight plucking problem. He has plucked a
2 inch circular area on his chest for many years. We are discouraging
this behavior by giving Harley lots of new toys and changing his diet.

This is big Petey who is very large for a Blue and Gold Macaw.
His previous owners were self employed, traveled a lot and could not
offer Petey the attention that he needed.
Petey is gorgeous and has a very friendly disposition.
He loves to play with toys and swing in his cage.
Petey will be visiting people and showing off his beautiful colors in the future.

Lizzy is a Sun Conure. She was permanently surrendered
to the sanctuary when her owner could no longer care for her.
Lizzy's beautiful and sweet. She has come a long ways also.
She has learned to step up and is comfortable with us petting her now.

Status: Permanent Surrender
Spud is a Cherry Headed Conure. He came to the sanctuary
when his owner felt he would do better with people that could
work with him and understand him better. Spud was extremely
aggressive and has progressed a very long ways. We are
able to pick him up and pet him now without being attacked.
He enjoys hanging out and likes to greet us with saying good morning!

Status: In Foster Care
This is Peaches. She is a beautiful 11 year old Moluccan Cockatoo.
She was surrendered to the sanctuary when her owner moved to Arizona.
Status: Adopted
Meet Jordan aka Spike! Jordan is now a permanent
resident at one of Butte's finest nursing homes!
He will spend his time making the residents happy
and bring them joy as the days go by.
Jordan has a very friendly disposition that is well suited
for this type of atmosphere. He will get the care and attention
he deserves and give unconditional TLC to
those who are in need of a companion's love!
All 40 cockatiels have finally found great homes! Yeah!!!!
Update:
40 cockatiels, 10 Chickens, 3 Peacocks, 50 Doves and 1 Pheasant have all found good homes.
This was a rescue where the husband and wife were in a tragic auto accident.
The husband lost his life and the wife sustained a broken back.
We were able to place all these birds and hope to take some photos in the spring of the peacocks and doves in their new home.
A great BIG heart felt thanks to everyone that has been involved
with helping rescue and place these animals. We couldn't do it without you!
We are also helping a local peacock rescue place some of their birds.
